It’s been a looong meeting and we’ve discussed every treatment in detail. There were certain parts in all of the treatments that made it to the final round that we could really see included in the film, but we had to narrow it down… Finally, we decided on 5 treatments that we believe will work well together.

Our choice was also influenced by our simultaneous decision to mix and interweave the episodes as opposed to telling one after the other. While this will be a big challenge we believe that it will work for the benefit of the film.

This also had an impact on the number of treatments we chose: 5 instead of the 6 we had originally planned. Given the interweaving structure of the film, we realised that it will be important to have a story that serves as a link or background for these episodes and we wanted to leave space in the film for such a story…
